With the basic design of the C3 already established, Larry Shinoda, under Bill Mitchell, designed the XP755 Mako Shark as a working concept car. It publicly debuted in 1961 on an episode of "Route 66" putting Buzz and Todd's '62 Corvette to shame.
This old FM model is, IMHO, not one of their triumphs. It's a decent "3 foot" model, but it captured the essence of a car that blew me away as a kid.

I've had this model for SO many years and never took any photos of it. Surely don't need to now - THESE are phenomenal!

@perrone1 I just posted its successor on Forum 18. A much better model.
