Very nice! I have the reverse version, red bottom, red top color sample, the interior is also different from the production version.
this model and their Cobras are outstanding value. Thanks for the continued updates Lu. Chav hasn't chimed in for a while, wonder where he is?
Had several very busy weeks. Traveled to the old country to see my father, and worked 3 weeks (every other) in the covid ICU, covid is out of control in Michigan. Just recovering from the last of these exhausting weeks. Haven't purchased a model in 6 weeks, that has never happened before ... Thanks for asking Geoff and Lu (Lu reached to me 2 weeks ago).
@chav sorry to hear about your covid situation Chav, but good news that you are OK. Your model color combination would be the best of them I'd suggest. Very hard to find an undamaged model in any of the colors at a reasonable price.
Chav, I hope things have settled down for you for a while. I have both of the red/black 55 Pontiacs but haven't examined them for the dreaded metal virus. Need to do that one of these days.

Unfortunately things won't settle till this nasty virus is continuing to kill and disable people, horrible disease for whoever develops a severe case. This coming Saturday I will be back in the ICU, unfortunately in many cases not saving lives but postponing death... And it takes a huge toll on the healthcare workers staffing the ICU's. For first time in my career I have hard time coping with my job ...
Oh Chav, my thoughts are with you mate. You and your colleagues are true heroes. Take care.
Wasn't this the Holy Grail of diecast 20 years ago? Not one of DM's best efforts, but definitely and interesting subject. You're fortunate to have it in your collection!
@pete-rovero yeh Pete I remember all the fuss around it. I think one or a few may have sold in the high $100s? Even the odd report of unscrupulous individuals cutting the trunk open to sell.
Honda Wednesday. Here we have a 2005 ARTA Honda NSX from Tamiya’s Masterworks series. ARTA stands for Autobacs Racing Team Aguri. It is a joint racing project between former Japanese F1 driver Aguri Suzuki and Autobacs, an automotive parts/accessories retailer. The curbside model is factory-assembled and painted. Like the actual car, the model has a flat metal floor on the underside to help with aerodynamics.
Concept Thursday! Today we have a 2007 Guangzhou Automobile Group (GAC) 4-Door Coupe concept car. The term four-door coupe was first used on the 1962-1973 Rover P5. The GAC car was designed for a younger audience as a case study; both conventional and hybrid power trains were considered. Some of the designs were actualized in GAC’s Trumpchi line. The model is nicely done, especially the interior. The hood and trunk lid are not functional, and the front tires are not poseable.
