One of my first Danburys, from Roy Rauch, early 2000s
Glove Box Friday! Here we have a 1937 Chevrolet pickup from the Danbury Mint. The glove box feature, which was introduced by Chevrolet in that year, incorporated a lockable glove compartment into the center of the dashboard. It provided a secure storage space for valuables or important documents, making it a practical and convenient addition. Enjoy!
Sample Saturday! Today we have a 1966 Corvette 427 Convertible sample from the Danbury Mint. While I don't possess the production model for a direct comparison, I can certainly highlight a few unique features. Unlike the production version, this sample remains unaffected by the zinc corrosion problem. Moreover, it boasts an elegant white soft top, adding an extra touch of sophistication. Enjoy!
Looks about the same as the production model to me, except for the convertible top. I wish my production version didn't self destruct. 🙁

HUGE +1!
That body color with a white soft top is perfect !
Fiberglass Tuesday! Here we have a 1957 Chevrolet Cameo Pickup from the Danbury Mint. The Cameo was the first truck to feature a stylish, car-like design with fiberglass rear fenders, which was a departure from the traditional all-steel construction of pickup trucks at the time. This design choice gave the Cameo a sleek and distinctive appearance that set it apart from other trucks of its era. Furthermore, the 1957 Cameo Pickup Truck was the first truck to offer an automatic transmission as a standard option. This was a significant advancement in convenience and drivability, as automatic transmissions were primarily associated with passenger cars at the time. Enjoy!
That's one of my first 'n favorite 1/24s. I love the colors chosen for it.
