Undervalued Wednesday! Today we have a 1956 Ford Sunliner from the Danbury Mint. The model is nicely done and it is relatively inexpensive on the secondary market. Highly recommended. Enjoy!
so glad you introduced the WIX versions Chav. They are mint quality. This is their version of 'no 11', again of a similar standard. I think the company that made them was called Icons? Never heard from again. I wonder if they somehow 'acquired' the FM tooling? Thanks for the reminder of the silver/grey version Tony, I must hunt one down. Nice to have the 2 versions Lu.

Transformer Sunday! Here we have a 1957 Ford Fairlane 500 Skyliner from the Franklin Mint. Interestingly, the original car that Franklin Mint based their model on had some repairs done to the rear and an incorrect paint job. Specifically, the area beneath the brake lights should have been red, but it was all white here. Fortunately, this issue was rectified in later reprints. Enjoy!
This, along with the red 64 1/2 Mustang convertible, was my first purchase from the Franklin Mint in 1992. I was mesmerized by the working top mechanism.
