that colour really suits
Looks good in black!
Bob, appears we are both 'Skyliner' addicts. I too have all the DM versions and couple of the FM's. However, I love the 1:18 'SunStar' version, and have bought almost all of the color variations they have produced over the many years it has been around. A well rendered model in my opinion.
I have the blue one, great model indeed!
The Graber Duesy is one of my favorite models and automobiles, I have both versions. The black/silver version represents the original color scheme, although there are few "errors", the hood vents were black and the radiator cap was aluminum color, the car also had mirror I believe. At the time of the release I asked Raffi about these inaccuracies, he said that basically if they make so many changes it becomes a new model, aka it is too expensive. I guess this was not justified for the limited to 65 (or so) black/silver edition.
I was early buyer of the blue version and that model had assembly issues, I had to rework it ... hours of refitting parts. The first black/silver I received had some defect and I returned to Automodello, later Jim replaced it with a model from the second batch and that car was much better put together and the paint was flawless ....
One-Off Thursday! To celebrate the 10,000th view, let’s show something extraordinarily unique – a one-off factory-built 1998 chameleon Corvette from FM. This one-off model was built for an FM-sponsored Boy Scouts of America charity auction. It came with a metal carrying case, documents, an engraved metal plaque, and a letter from FM’s leadership. Even though this is a one-off model, FM actually made two. The other one is a test shot with some “rough edges.” The final price was significantly higher than what FM had projected, so FM gifted the test shot copy to the buyer as a way to show their appreciation. I will show the test shot car some other time. Hats off to the legendary collector who entrusted me with this beauty. Thank you!
now that is one prized piece, great colour too.
Heavy Weight Friday! Today we have a FAW dump truck. The model was commissioned by FAW in 2001 to commemorate the completion of its three millionth truck unit. The doors and rear gate are functional, the front wheels are steerable, the cab can be tilted forward to show engine details. It also has a working horn and headlights.
