all I can say is....what I said yesterday, what a collection! Looks a nicely detailed model Lu.
COOL! Looks to be nicely detailed!
@lu nice Lu, I have the red one because I really wanted the wire wheels.
Good Grifo - how beautiful!
@lu you gotta be kidding me! That is sensational, who, what? is/are Garage43 Lu?
WOW Lu; you can do "Long Hood Thursday" A N D "Short Back-End Friday" and just use the same car! COOL stuff!
Lu if u have time would love to see more of the garage43 Alfa. It looks remarkable. This seems to be all that garage43 say about themselves, a 1/43 producer with no working links on their site.

Would love to know more, pics, how and where you got it,
thanks
Geoff
Thanks! Yes — that’s the correct Garage43 you found.
Garage43 is run by Laurent Tay, and it’s essentially a one-man shop. He builds 1/43 scale models by commission, usually starting from existing kits and then doing a lot of additional detailing and refinement. Because of that, his website is pretty bare-bones and doesn’t have many working links, but the work itself is excellent.
If you scroll through the site, pages 46–49 and 88–90 show a good sampling of his past builds and give a better sense of his craftsmanship.
Enjoy!
@lu thanks Lu, so did u commission Laurent to make them for you or did you buy them from someone who did? Just trying to get an idea on where to source them and a price.
No problem at all — happy to share.
I didn’t commission the two Alfas directly. They originally belonged to another collector I had been trying to buy them from for a couple of years. When he decided to exit the hobby, he only wanted to sell his entire collection as a lot. He eventually sold the whole collection to a toy dealer, and I was able to pick up the Alfas from that dealer on eBay (at a bit of a discount).
That said, Laurent’s pricing is largely driven by the time involved. As a rough guide, a 1/24 curbside build is typically in the ~$1,500–$2,000 range. Models with opening features or more complexity will be higher. If you have something specific in mind, the best approach is to contact him directly through his website and discuss the project with him.
Hope that helps!
@lu thanks Lu, appreciate your detailed response. I'll have to save a bit on other things!
@geoff-jowett There is one on eBay right now at a good price point.
