I love old open wheel racers, brilliant build, thanks Lu
Honda Saturday! Here we have a seventh-generation Guangzhou Honda Accord. This body style was specifically designed for North America and Asia Pacific, and it is a vastly different car than its Japanese and European counterparts. The front wheels are steerable, engine and interior details are adequate, and all badges on the trunk lid are photo-etched.
VERSUS Monday! Here we have a Ferrari F40LM / GTE from VERSUS. To get everyone up to speed, the VERSUS brand was started by Mr. Masanori Akashi, a famous Japanese builder who primarily focused on perfecting mass-produced 1/18th models with transkits. You can think of it as a low-quantity and high-quality custom modification shop. Despite the 1/18th focus, VERSUS produced some one-off models in the 1/24th scale and 1/12th scale. The 2011 tsunami ended VERSUS unexpectedly. On a lighter note, this little gem is just stunning. The red F40 is from the Franklin Mint.
Godzilla Tuesday! Today we have a 2000 bayside blue Nissan Skyline R34 V Spec II from Ebbro. The “V” stands for “victory.” The R34 is one of the last of the traditionally inline-six powered Skylines. The 2.6L twin turbo charged RB26DETT engine produced 327 horsepower and 293 pound-feet of torque. These numbers may not seem impressive today, but please keep in mind that Nissan did all of these 21 years ago. Now to the model car, this little treasure is nicely done, the fit and finish is excellent! Check out the engine details.
great Ebbro model. 6000 views is a fantastic effort. And has already been pointed out, 6000 is great indicator of the interest in 1/24. Hopefully some of the quality 1/43 and 1/18 makers will see these numbers and realise the level of enthusiasm that remains for 1/24.
Van Wednesday! Here we have a first-generation Foton MPX. The actual car was introduced in the Chinese market in 2011 and then the Southeast Asian markets in 2012. The MPX is a front-engine rear-wheel-drive people mover. Like other 1/24 Chinese van models, it is packed with functional features such as steerable front wheels and sliding seats. The front doors are hinged instead of the dog leg set-up. Check out the photo-etched badges on the rear hatch.
Got one of those.....love it!
