Dear friends,

I got the first prototypes of the 1948 Chevrolet Fleetline Aerosedan.

The overall shape is right, so I'm going to focus in the details from now.

Side windows still needs to be applied, hubcaps need chrome, wipers are not present yet, etc.

I am thinking also in changing the colors, specially the green ,as it looks very close to the previous 1950 Chevy.

Only one will have the sun visor.

Any color opinions?

Have a great weekend, everybody!

Definitely a nice model but I'm a bit surprised Sergio picked this variation as it was done by NEO,  and Brooklin,  earlier.  In this generation of Chevrolet I would have picked the Fleetline Sportsmaster four door sedan which was a four window notchback and was a style that was to become more popular in later years.  it would have been an interesting variation to the white metal Goldvarg Stylemaster 6 window sedan done decades ago.  Here's the earlier Goldvarg sedan.

@john-quilter To me is a beautiful chance to add this Chevy in my collection that is more perfect than Neo in some details..

Some details are incorrect on Neo like the strange outline of the door...

I don't know if the original came in two-tones but, if so, these appeal to me.

renato....your post summoned me to my display cabinet to look at both my Neo '48 Fleetlines, and sure enough, I see the error you pointed out in the door line!

I never noticed it before. It is more noticeable on the grey version and less on the woody paneled version.

Also, the Neo version doesn't have a door mirror or radio mast, but despite these flaws, I do like it.

Of course I'll be purchasing the Goldvard edition as soon as it is released.

I get every 40'-50's fastback that I can find.

And yes Roger, a two-tone would be fantastic.

One of the Neo variations was two-tone with wood panels attached at the dealerships. I know the dealership wood panels are history correct, but did the cars come in two-tone like Neo gave us on this model?

I have the Neo, Brooklin and Motor City. The Motor City is two tone green and is quite possibly the best Motor City model and that is saying something.

@bob-jackman The Motor City is indeed a great model. I came late to the MOC party, this was my first one. BTW, the MOC has a resin body and white metal seats and chassis.

I have the Neo woody, because it's a woody, but the colors are not authentic per the ACL. I used to have the BRK, a repaint by Fred Lewis, but after a while the casting's somewhat stubbiness (after all, it was an early BRK) didn't compare well with the MOC and I sold it. But I wouldn't mind seeing the Goldvarg done in Marsh Brown Poly over Satin Green, it would be striking. And I have seen pics of the woody as a 1:1 in these colors.

Oh Harv....that is a bundle of joy! How do I get one of those?

And lets not forget the Conquest 1947 Chevy Fleetmaster!

Sergio, this will be a nice model of course but please, go with other colors than green and red. We now have the 48 Pontiac, 50 Chevrolet and 63 Buick in some kind of green and red tones and the coming 48 Buick will also be green. I know they are all period correct colors but we need something else to pop in our displays.

Does the pic supplied by Sergio have a 1947 grille?  I don't see the vertical centre bar.  I would love to see one of these done in dove grey over Oxford maroon metallic and without skirts.  This will be a lovely model.

@nickies  thanks for your comment. Yes, these will not be the definitive production colors. Best regards!
