1951 Willys Overland Station Wagon
Has a decision been made on the color yet?
I believe that John Roberts posted here that it would be dark green, but I didn't find the post in a quick scan of them.
Rick is correct. It's Hampshire Green and it will be a '52 model.
And it promises to be a beauty. They've really done a nice job on this car as shown in Brooklin's "This Week's Photos" a few weeks back. According to the folks at Willys America, the premier Willys restoration outfit, there were 3 colors offered on the '52 4WD models; Hampshire Green Shadow Gray, and Smoked Ruby.

Thanks for the confirmation and the correction, David! I know you're looking forward to this one.
You bet I am, Rick, and John Roberts is doing one in Shadow Gray for me in addition to the however many Hampshire Green ones I get. Too much of a good thing is not enough.

Thanks!
Still listed as a '51 at the Brooklin site.

Bob, as I understand it, the base plate on the first run will still say 1951 but the packaging will identify it correctly as a 1952 model. As you point out, the website hasn't yet updated it. For '52, the solid color scheme was adopted, the tail lights were moved to the edges of the rear panels and the licence plate was placed in the center of the tailgate. In addition, a bright metal strip was added to the front along the sides of the hood extending back to the front door edge. This is what Brooklin has replicated, therefore the correction to a '52. Let's hope we'll soon see pictures on Spacroft! And better yet, well have the models in our collections!
