1956 and 2003 Thunderbird Comparison

Brooklin’s 1956 and Maisto’s 2002 are compared here. In 1956 the color was called Golden Glow. For 2002 the color was called Inspiration Yellow.

Between the two models in 1:1 scale I would definitely choose the '56.

Both great-looking automobiles ! In 1/43, I have a really nice white Thunderbird from MotorMax and in 1/18 I had a red 2002 Thunderbird, and I later gave it to a young niece who really thought it was a cool car.

I read somewhere that the Maisto, from the excellent Road & Track series, is actually the 1999 show car. I bought mine at a big box store in 1999. The roof is removable, as shown here:
