1968 Bullitt Mustang - Brooklin Deutschland Club model

Just watched the Mecum auction where the Bullitt Mustang sold for some $3,300,000. I'm wondering just how much a Brooklin version of that model will sell for. Not many reach the market, and I'm wondering if Dick Browne's will set some sort of similar record if and when it shows on ebay. It should/could be interesting.

I don’t think there will be much of a market for the Brooklin version.

The Greenlight version is very realistic and only cost $15 bucks.

Gotta remember it's a Ford........actually just a little model of a Ford.

And it's green. And Steve McQueen isn't in it. Steve has left the planet. But then again this may just be the only car to lose 5 wheel covers in one scene. A miracle. Unless all Fords do that. But I jest.

One sold on Ebay recently. I don't recall the amount but it did quite well.

Perhaps someone knows more???

It's one of the holy grails for Brooklin collectors. The last one I saw went for over $700

Every one is slightly different...

the mud effect was spattered on with a toothbrush. Not many people know that...or are probably even interested!

Not to pre-empt JR, but Roger Mateo's "Special Brooklins" book says that 250 were made in 1994 for the German Brooklin Collectors Club. Not as rare as many other special Brooklins, as it turns out.

I'm back to apologize. To the Ford Mustang lovers because those wheels on McQueen's Mustang didn't even have hubcaps (or wheel covers) It was the green Charger. And yes it did lose five wheel covers. We count every time we watch it.

That's a fairly large number. Yet, they very seldom show up for sale.

OK! We're getting there. The Charger in the movie was black.

But we all remember it differently. I always thought it had white walls and the MOPAR mags. Some of the pictures seem to show black walls or raised white letters. I always thought it was strange that it was losing hubcaps. I'm not sure where I got that idea other than the mags were a common accessory. I didn't see many fully equipped Chargers that did not have them.
