David K emailed recently saying he missed the old Forum43 and has tried unsuccessfully to subscribe to the new one. Both John and I offered to help him. In the meantime, he sent this note!

I love these Brooklin ‘54 Kaiser Manhattans. That face lifted front clip was certainly beautifully done. Beautiful car. I believe the blue and ivory one came out first followed by a small run of the solid green one. I have never seen the green one on the after-market for sale.
Thanks for posting Karl. Like you, I have never seen the green one for sale.
C'mon in, David K. I also had a lot of trouble re-enlisting, and only through some good assistance was it possible. Kaisers? One of my favorite brands, and I have posted them on both the new and the old forum 43 sites. But here's one that may have eluded you: the IKA Kaiser Carabela, a 1/43 made in China for the Argentine market. I found mine through e-Bay. Happy hunting!
And don't forget the two door version in two tone green one by Esval.

Nice to have news from you, David. I am sure with the help of Karl and John, you will be able to register. If i have been able to register myself even if it is not in my language, i am sure you can do it and everyone can do. John is a good guide and fortunately the google traductor is there too to help me. For say the truth there are a few forums in french particularly in Europe that i understand absolutely nothing.
For the BRK29C '54 Kaiser Manhattan Blue Comet, i have been fortunate to find one coming from a collector who sold his collection to a local dealer. The model is stunning and i agree these Kaisers are hard to find. The production run of the one in green has been 2002 to 2005 and the Blue 2005 to 2009. I checked in the book Brooklin Models collectors guide by Gianluigi Cappi to know. I really like this book and recommand. Thanks for the great pictures that you have send to Karl.
The '54 Kaiser is a very attractive style and Brooklin did an excellent job with the models. I added the Carabela recently-it's a decent model. I have the elusive green sedan in my collection as well as the blue two-tone and Brooklin issued a Police version too.

Nice police car, John. I've seen it before but never acquired one. Here are a couple of variations that I've had for a while:
Brooklin sold the taxi as part of their regular trade, but my understanding is that perhaps fifty were re-finished in black with nice chrome in Amsterdam. I don't remember any details of these, but the paint and other work is quite good, in my opinion. (My error! The description on eBay for a similar black Kaiser says it was rebuilt in Rotterdam, not Amsterdam, and is 1 of 500.
I have one other, but it's late now. I'll try to add it tomorrow. David

I like both of these Dragons but I don't have one. However, a few months ago I found this Carabela available. A good overview of Kaiser Argentina may be found at:

Here is mine in an Argentine setting: (Click on pictures for enlargements.)
This 1:43 model was made in Argentina by CARTRIX, which has a facebook site with a rather large list of their products. The Carabela is listed some places as a 1958 model and others as a 1959. The Kiaser Carabela stayed in production with some running changes into 1962, and was very often modified into funeral coaches, limousines, and other styles. This model seems to have originated several years ago in small numbers, and then more recently re-appeared as a Cartrix product.
Construction is resin in a solid block with non-operable wheels attached with glue. Chrome work is paint. There is no interior. Exterior detailing is interesting and somewhat different from my usual acquisitions. It's an interesting model.
And I also had fun looking at pictures of the scenery of Argentina.
Enjoy! David H
John White was quite a talented man. I'm sorry that I only have a couple of his models.

‘53 Kaiser Manhattan BRK 29 Australian Beige over Sabre Jet Blue
This is my latest, and at least for a while last, acquisition. Perhaps one of Brooklin’s prettiest cars is this ‘53 Kaiser finished in this accurate color scheme of Australian Beige over Sabre Jet Blue. It’s a beauty.
It did require a polishing with Meguiar’s to bring it to a shine. A nice replica of those beautiful ‘51-‘55 Kaisers. I liked the car so much I bought a second one that showed up at a dealer in Canada who was selling it for a gentleman liquidating his collection. It arrived today.
