It was their initial offering and it was spectacular. If I remember correctly, the green was the rarest. Click here to see the hobbyDB listing.

I have the green version and agree with John, it is spectacular. I didn't realize that it's been 11 years since it was released.

I have the beige (?) top-up version on display in my Packard shelves.  I like it!  (Sorry for the poor shot.)

Automodello’s Packard 12 Victoria is a gorgeous model…I had to have one to start my 1/43 collection. They only had the Red ones by that time sadly.

my only nitpick is that they failed to add the pinstriping to the fenders and the belt line … feel that with their price point that should have been provided , My Franklin Mint Packard 12 Towncar did.

@jkuvakas

I looked at the hobbyDB link and found the 1938 Automodello Packards.  I have one of these in beige, purchased in 2013, which makes it one of the first 1/43 scale cars I bought.  It is also a beautiful model.

Thanks for your fine pictures, Ed.  That's the same version I have that I clumsily tried to show in a group shot above.

Thanks for the compliment about the pictures. For photos of 1/43 and 1/64 model cars I use my iPhone 8.  You can get real close to the model and produce very nice photos. The cameras in newer smart phones should be able to do better photos. For pictures of 1:1 cars, I still prefer using my DSLR camera.

Nickies:

If you want a Packard from the 1930s, I highly recommend both the 1938 and 1934 Packard models from Automodello.

I do not know if there is any missing pin striping on my 1938 model like there is on Larry’s 1934. To me that is not that important, but some folks might have a different opinion.

My original post was about the 1934. I already have the 1938.

John's comment about the Berkshire Green version refers to the 1938. The 1934 came in red (shown above) and a dark blue version limited to 150. Yes, when I took the pics I was too lazy to put the top down boot in place.

If memory serves, Jim Cowen might also have done a "homage" version in black (maybe only 24?)

My thought on the pinstripes was that it just added that final touch of class, here’s my FM Packard 12.

They are exceptional models, in my opinion, I've had them since they were issued and every time I view them, I am amazed at their beauty. You can't go wrong if you chose one of these for your collection. They are a very nice examples of an early 30s Packard.

Packards of the mid-thirties had real style and as a result I created Packard Row. There are various aircraft of the same era in the background. Real beauties these Packards.

This photo is from my office with favorites of various eras and scales; 1/24th at the bottom, Packard Row middle, and 1/18th top.

Broke the row to show more detail.

Such beautiful design.
