The DeSoto Firedome was a full-size automobile produced between 1952 and 1959 by DeSoto automobiles, a division of the Chrysler Corporation.Â

The nameplate was borrowed from the marketing term used to offer Chrysler's Hemi V8 engine in a DeSoto product, offering the performance offered by the Chrysler brand but in the more affordable DeSoto brand.
