With Randy Rusk unable to make the Chicago Show (Countryside, IL) this past weekend, I took the photos. There were fewer 1/43 folks in attendance, but for those attending, it was great to renew are friendships and buy/sell some models.  I am dividing the photos into three posts.  This one will show the people and displays.  The second one will have photos of a sample model of Brooklin's new NB Center 1946 Pontiac.  The third shows the V16 Cadillac engine.  I apologize if I forgot anyone or did not spell a name correctly.

This is the Forum 43 area at start of show.

Here are Skip Johnson and Tom Kinney with the Brooklin and SMTS models.

Here is Greg Gunn with a nice variety of cars.

In an area separate for the Forum 43 area, we find Tom Dirnberger (Left) and Dale Dannefer with GLM/Stamp models an several 1/24 items.

Here is Buz completing his show display.

Jim Cowen from Automodello had a nice display of 1/43 and 1/24 scale items. Here is a close up of the 1/43 scale auto transporter and taxi models.

We cannot forget Frank.  He brought the donuts.

This is the sample model of Brooklin NB Center 1946 Pontiac.  More pictures will be in second post.

This is the Brooklin V16 Cadillac engine. More photos in third post.

The next group of photos are Brooklin and SMTS Aston Martins.  The Brooklin cars are from Tom Kinney's collection. The second photo is the recently made Pierce Arrow.  The third shows the SMTS Aston Martins.  I really like the DB5 in the middle.

At the Forum 43 area there were several GLM/Stamp models on display. Here is a group of prototype models, all but one are Cadillacs.  The exception is a 1959 Imperial convertible.

Here are close ups of some of them.

In addition to taking pictures, I talked with some of the folks visiting the Forum 43 area.  I remember a conversation with a gentleman, who told me he was 86.  He said something many of us can, or will, relate.  Friends and family sometimes ask him why at his age he still buys models.  He gives a very simple answer.  I buy them, since I enjoy collecting them.  With this I will end my first post.  Keep on collecting and enjoying your models.  See you next March in Countryside, Illinois.

Thanks for the pictures Ed. I'm 82 and still buying. When people ask when I'll stop I tell them when they don't make me smile.
