What a great-looking "Collectors Classics" 1954 Mercury. All the cars here are extremely attractive and it is nice the assembler puts her name on the bottom logo. I have a 1/43 1954 Mercury in resin from Neo and these are exceptionally nice.
The 1954 Mercury Montrey was the third model in Collector's Classics range. It was introduced in 1990. This model had 3 variants: convertible top down, convertible top up, Sun Valley. The last variant is the most interesting to my mind, because it has amazing glass roof. There wasn't pace car version, if I think correct by the reason that 54 Monterey has never taken part in Indy 500.
Here is Top up variant from my collection.
Does anybody have Sun Valley?

Â
Nice Top Up - I love that color!  Here are two Sun Valleys - https://www.hobbydb.com/marketplaces/hobbydb/catalog_items?cid=784912&filters%5Btype_id%5D=3&prod_status=Variant&variant_definition_id=91564
The green one is our own David Holcombe's. I hope he is all right - have not hard from him in a while.
.....................................Does anybody have Sun Valley?
I have a 1/43 1954 Mercury Sun Valley, although it is a resin one from Neo and also a 1/64 scale one in yellow. These Mercury's are such great-looking cars and the Sun Valley version is such an interesting vehicle.

@mikedetorrice I also have the Neo and 1/64 along with the Collector Classic. The 1/64 is an amazingly detailed model with reasonable shut lines on the hood and doors.

They are really nice models of a very interesting automobile !
Mercury Sun Valley is the most beautiful in all 1954 Mercury range. This glass roof produced a great impression on me.
The model by Collector's Classics is rather rare, I have seen only 2 or 3 on ebay.
I suppose that it will be possible to learn the main information abot Collector's Classics range and to answer the questions.
How it was created. what wer the plans, how the manufacturer could provide high quality, why this series was stopped.
Now I know only that Buby hasn't ceased to exist in 1993. The end came six years later.
I hope that Sergio and our friends from Argentina will be able to help in learning history.

I have no idea as to its current value; I've owned this model close to 20 years now and probably paid no more than $10 for it. 😬 😬Â
Today I'm very glad to represent the fourth model in Collector's Classics range. This is 1956 Packard Carribean top up.
The model has interesting package using display case. Not usual box of this series.
At first, the box. There is no symbols but you can see round windows to learn the color of model.
Â
Now, I'd like to continue the topic and to introduce the next model in CC range. After 1956 Carribean Buby introduced 1956 De Soto Fireflite in 1991. This model range includes hard top, top down, top up and Indy 500 pace car. Some parts of modrls were packed into acrylic display boxes, but the most part was in usual packaging.
I have top up version in my collection.
Â
I have all of these 1/43 CC and more.... and for a time, many years ago-in a galaxy far, far away -these were some of the best 1/43s around. Easily the best bang for the buck!
A bit chucky & and unsophisticated today perhaps, but I still love mine AND they still kind-of hold up. Just great little models! Â
Most of mine are peppered throughout my overall collection... please excuse a few terrible pics!
