I ran across a listing for a Duesenberg J116 Dual Cowl Phaeton on the ‘bay by a company called XEROX out of China. A quick search shows they have models of several other top marquees like Bugatti, Mercedes, Voison, etc. all for between $290 - $300.
So, has anyone purchased one of these resin models? Any thoughts?
Being a Hoosier, I have an inherent interest in Dueseys and would be interested in acquiring one, but I’m looking for an endorsement from anyone who’s purchased one.
I've seen those. I'm curious as well. The bases are very similar to the ones EMC uses.

It sure looks great ! As long as it is not a paper copy, you are set ............
I bought a Xerox 1941 Mercedes-Benz 770K W150 Cabriolet, Shah of Iran which I am very happy with. As far as I can tell it is identical to the Ilario issue which came out a few years earlier.
Now I do not want to libel anyone. But in the fashion industry in the U.K. we have a term "cabage" which is admisable in law courts. A design house gives work to a factory to cut and produce. They are given patterns (tenplates), fabrics and trims with perhaps 10% wastage allowance and anything they can get out over and beyond the number ordered would be theirs to sell on the quiet - given the design house charges for limited production and thus exclusivity. If for argument's sake a company like Ilario sold an issue of 100 models at 300€ a piece, it is not beyond the bounds for them to turn a blind eye to their factory producing a further 500 for an entirely different market segment, (say China) for a percentage. Or even offer the original tenplates to a totally different manufacturer for the same purpose?
Whatever is the reality, I believe it is worth having the Xerox at half the price knowing that I cannot tell the difference between it and an 'original'! I paid 200:45€ on Ali Baba for mine.

I guess they are at least honest with the name they chose/stole - XEROX!
