Dick in answer to your question #12919.2.1

Yes, we have had 1/43 scale stories and articles in the Newsletter. I am trying to get articles from the D4C members in all the scales including 1/64. I've emailed members whose names I see frequently on the BBs.

John K has written a couple of articles and I try to include a few new and pending cars in 1/18, 1/24 and 1/43 every issue. Gene Herman wrote a two part article on 1/32 scale buses just recently.

The Newsletter is still focused mostly on 1/24 since most members are only interested in that scale, but we are trying to show a little of the other scales, especially with the demise of so many 1/24 manufacturers.

P.S. Sorry for the late response as I've been away from my computer for while and only check in now and then until the middle of this month.

Thanks John, I haven't seen an issue in a few years.

Back then it was all 1:24 which holds no interest for me. Please contact me and I'll have some additional information for you. My email is dickatl"AT"bellsouth.net.

1/24 from Automodello

Hi Dick,

Though there certainly have been some demises, Automodello decided to jump into this scale too. Our inaugural 1/24th release is the 1938 Phantom Corsair with a build limited to 299 and is $299.95 each. Each model will come with a hand-numbered Certificate and some other thoughtful features which we've done with our 1/43 line.

The model can be viewed on the Automodello website. If you'd like to see prototype pictures, there is a composite set on the Diecasm.com website.

The model is scheduled for release in January 2012 (or sooner with the elves willing).

Thanks,
Jim
