This is 1/43 according to various listings, not 1/50 like many of Conrad's other offerings. The Massachusetts dealer Toys for Collectors (TfC) had a hand in its production according to the fine print on the box - TfC went on to have the Ashton series of fire engines produced in white metal. I could not find a picture of this Hastings-on-Hudson fire engine on the internet, so I do not know how accurate it is, but I think the peak of the hood line should be level and not sloped to the front based on other Type 38 pics. This was introduced in 1982 and a few other versions were made,
BTW, the ladder on the left side is a roof ladder, with a hook to go over roof peaks.
