Last weekend there was a Cars and Coffee meet in Knoxville. Hundreds of cars there on a beautiful Sunday morning, with some standing out more than others. And this was a definite standout:
I have a Kyosho diecast in those exact colors. It can be displayed with or without the convertible top. I posted this one not long ago, but I couldn't resist a repeat having seen the real thing.

The license on the dayglo McLaren was "212 MPH". Bragger. Then there were the ones Randy Rusk and I love - the oddballs:
Finally, this one created quite a commotion, an uber-rare (in this country) VW XL1:

@david-green It was made atound 2014 sold only in Europe, with only 200 units sold to customers. A diesel-electric hybrid, it gets better than 200 mpg. I don't know how the heck one ended up on these shores but when it showed up Sunday it was like a UFO had landed.
