Last weekend there was a Cars and Coffee meet in Knoxville. Hundreds of cars there on a beautiful Sunday morning, with some standing out more than others. And this was a definite standout:

I have a Kyosho diecast in those exact colors. It can be displayed with or without the convertible top. I posted this one not long ago, but I couldn't resist a repeat having seen the real thing.

@karl Yup. I talked a while with a Testa Rossa owner. Then there were these - the Alfa should be quite familiar to you Karl, though I do not think it was from the Lane:

Alfa Romeo SZ 1989 1991
Aston Martin Vantage pic1
McLaren 600LT pic1
McLaren 720S pic1
Mercedes Benz 300SE I think

The license on the dayglo McLaren was "212 MPH". Bragger. Then there were the ones Randy Rusk and I love - the oddballs:

Renault R4 Police pic1
Vespa 400 pic1

Finally, this one created quite a commotion, an uber-rare (in this country) VW XL1:

@david-green It was made atound 2014 sold only in Europe, with only 200 units sold to customers. A diesel-electric hybrid, it gets better than 200 mpg. I don't know how the heck one ended up on these shores but when it showed up Sunday it was like a UFO had landed.
