My Miata post yesterday turned into quite a nice string of Rx7s - thanks for the replies guys! So here are mine (only the diecasts). First up, Kyosho made the Racing Beat record car from 1978. This Rx-7 set the E/GT class record at 173.74 mph at Bonneville.
Tomica Dandy made 1st Gen Rx-7 road cars, and a police version too.
Finally, Tomica did a nice 1/43 2nd Gen Rx-7.
Thanks Harv and others for the nice pictures you have posted. I cannot post any 1/43 scale pictures, but here is a 1:1 version of a third generation RX-7. The color is called Montego Blue. Depending on light conditions, it look either dark blue or dark green.

My favorite RX7 race car. The 1/43 version never quite got finished, the hot wheels version was completed. The 1/43 started out as a Dandy diecast and was modified many many years ago by Jim Waters. Made a few castings but never could get the windows to fit and lost interest. Still an interesting model of an IMSA race car.
