From 1955 until 1966, Peugeot built the 403 series which included this wagon version. Somewhere during that period Dinky Toys of France produced a model in 1:43 of the 403. In the early ‘60’s I bought this Dinky Toys Peugeot at F. A. O. Schwartz I think for about a dollar. It went the way of many childhood toys, however. I always liked the Peugeot 403. I had a Latin teacher at Lenox School who had one. Five years or so ago, I found another on the internet just like the one I had. Turns out it was for sale by a guy named Ken Mick and he lived nearby in my home town of Richmond. Not only did he have the Peugeot in perfect condition for sale but he was able to supply me with the tires for my Dinky Euclid dump Truck. (See separate post)
Nice pics David. I have that one and two 403 sedans (French Dinky and JEP). Prior to number 525, the Dinky was No. 24F (my version); there was a change in wheel design between yours and mine.

I have these two Dinky Peugeots in MB. It was a simple design but I always loved this car; especially the Familiale.
Peugeot always stretched the wheelbase and rear door for their station wagons. Also done in the mid 60s for the Buick Sport Wagon and Oldsmobile Vista Cruiser.
