Thanks, merci, Pascal! More photos to upload to hobbyDB! I have also received 1000 ELC photos from your friend Yannick - it might take me a few weeks to upload!
I have heard about his book but have never seen it for sale. I missed it when it came out...
WoooW! Thanks again.

HobbyDB has a great exhibit of pictures of models from Jerry Rettig, including some of mine (Yes, I gave permission, and gladly.)Â So, just in case anyone missed it, is my favorite of the Land of Enchantment/ Rettig masterpieces.
And here's the story again.
About ten years ago, I corresponded with Jerry about acquiring one of the 1/43 Franklins he had produced for the Franklin Museum in Tucson, AZ, but he had none. Eventually, he found that there was one still in his holdings, and that only because the Museum could or had not sold it because it had never been finished. He named his price, and it was low enough that I agreed quickly. But when it arrived, Jerry had beautifully completed it.
For information on the Franklin Museum, see
Another Jerry Rettig tale- Around 2010 I had an uncommon metal model, a 1937 Plymouth Coupe in the peculiar scale of 1:40.  It was one of the products of the New Jersey firm of Miniature Vehicle Castings in New Jersey. That firm is Robert Wagner, a one-man production machine who has made beautiful little models and sometimes sold some at toy/model shows.
For information on Robert Wagner, see

Robert Wagner built only in small numbers, and at least this one had been finished only with a coat (or dip) of red paint and a hand-painted line along the side under the windows; and even that had been damaged. I mentioned this to Jerry, and he was curious. So I mailed it to him for his examination. When model came back to me in a few weeks, it was not just repaired but beautifully finished in its present condition.Â
I have sometimes wondered if Jerry Rettig and Robert Wagner ever got together. But these two models are both favorites in my collection.
@d-m-holcombe Two great model car stories! Thanks for the pics!
My grandfather was a big Franklin touring car owner in Binghamton NY, in the teens and twenties so I needed a replica of one of these and used one of Jerry Rettig's kits to modify and create this one.

@john-quilter - Great Aerobus! They are all fantastic jobs!
@pascal-michels - All of your photos and descriptions have been loaded into hobbyDB! Merci beaucoup pour tout! Â
@karl-schnelle
Great job
But you still have the Yannick photos to load 😉
Â
@d-m-holcombe Robert Wagner must have liked 1936 Plymouths as he also did this four door. As received.
With my enhancements, black roof, black wall tires, windows, and an attempt at "easy clean" wheels.

John, many thanks for posting your Robert Wagner coupe. It's most unusual to see anything of his pictured. I enlarged your fine pictures and really enjoyed this little visit into a fine work from the past. Again, thank you.
@d-m-holcombe David you showed the red coupe and I did the grey sedan. I wonder what others were in this range.  I wouldn't mind finding a coupe, beat up or not.

Sure, feel free to add it but there is already one shown.  My two pictures show one unmodified and one enhanced so not totally stock.  Did not know about the others such as the Oldsmobile, Ford and Studebaker. Wouldn't mind finding the Oldsmobile but have the Ford covered with this Tintin one and a Durham Classics one.

It took a month but I have added 1100 photos to hobbyDB (2-4 per car) that Pascal and Yannick sent me! @pascal-michels Take a look now. They range from A to Z, or from a 1909 Cadillac to aÂ
