I remember looking at these Oldsmobiles when they first were shown. I could see they were the '54 models refreshed, but that sweeping side chrome and emotionally mandatory 2-tone paint did things that the '54 didn't. Oldsmobile had declared a sales war against Buick, and for a while it seemed Olds might win. But please remember: no seat belts, no cushioned dash, no break-away front, no disc brakes, and the list could go on and on. And America's interstate highway system was growing and beckoning. Quite a car for quite a year! Thanks for the memories, Renato. I like your model.
A short while ago we debated whether the roof height was correct and other points. Its not as well done as the recent Goldvargs but for its price point it's pretty good. I'm getting one for sure.
This '55 Olds would make a wonderful addition to any 1/43 collection (and especially mine, lol !)
I'm hoping they expand the offerings to include a four door hardtop, which was the first year for these. After all they did three '56 Chevrolets, two and four door wagons and the sedan delivery all of which I have.

I have the blue/white one on order. A friend has a four door hardtop 1/1 in this color.
@bob-jackman I just ordered the same color Bob....nearly opted for the green one though.
John, I have the Conquest model in two tone blue. The Conquest model is a 98 series.
Bob, Jack, where did you order? I have my eye on the two-tone red and black one...

I ordered the 55 Olds via ebay from a vendor named miniformamodels.
Thanks Renato for posting. I really like the colors on yours.
Moe Parr, Diecast Direct shows the red/black one in their catalog. They told me that they expect the blue/white in at the end of March so I'm guessing the same for the red/black one as well.
