For British car lovers, new to my colllection, 2 1950 Austins
These are Eligor models in the Blake & Mortimor video series from France. The are similar to the Tintin range of models. One is a circa 1950 Austin A90 Atlantic convertible, a somewhat unsuccessful attempt at making a British version of an American Pontiac, (the Austin Healey 100 came later and was far more successful) and the other, an A70 Hampshire, a larger version of the Austin A40 Devon. Both of these are currently on the workbench getting bare metal foil bumpers and trim and a gloss clear coat to improve the matt finish they come with.

Not many models of the Hampshire.
I think I did the first 1.43rd version in my Spa Croft Models range. Interesting to see a two tone version. I believe that colour scheme appeared in the Hampshire brochure of the time

The two tone is accurate..shame about the accuracy of the body!...
Yours was a beauty Mike and I always regret selling mine although circumstances at the time dictated. The Atlantic looks pretty good to me.

I was going to do the two tone version, but
I couldn't find any definite references to the colours.

Any photos of the Spa Croft?
And for my interest what inaccuracies can you point out in the Blake & Mortimer version?

The boot should be shorter and more upright like the Devon...
The Tintin version is fine at the front but falls down in the accuracy of the rear end. Mike may have an opinion on this also.

cars the BD artists imagined in their brains as they were drawing them f: r the BD (comic book or graphic novel, in French). I think it's another layer or two in the whole value chain: car - designer/drawer - drawing - model designer - model car!

But I did note the belt line chrome molding is missing as is the rocker molding continuing to the rear. Will have to consider adding these.
