Congratulations, John. A picture would help give you bragging rights! LOL (That's just to cover me for not remembering what your new model looks like, even as a 1:1.)

Here's mine. I remember now that I removed the fender skirts.

And looking at my quick shot shows that no one else should ever apologize for poor photography!

Where do you find all those great aftermarket wheels and tires?

Mark I was hoping no one would ask me this question because the ......

answer could make me sound crazy lol. The metal wheels come from Brooklin Rod Models, Motor City / Design Studio Models, and any other's I can find. So yes I buy these model and then strip them for the parts. There are a few die cast models out there that have wheels and tires that I like so I will search and find the cheapest ones and buy them. So I will buy those and strip them of the wheels and tires. As a example the Hot Wheels and Greenlight Fast & Furious Black Dodge Charger, I like the wheels and tires so I have bought about 8 of the Hot Wheels Charger and about 12 of the Greenlight Dodge Charger just for the wheels and tires. I do save the Blowers as well and then throw the car away. Some I save. I look for wheels and tires on models all the time. If I like I buy them. If I really like I buy a whole bunch. If I can buy a Design studio or Brooklin rod model for under $100.00 I will buy it just for the wheels & tires and any other part I can use and then I just put the rest of the model away. A few years ago there was a seller on ebay selling nice wire wheels and tires so I bought them all. I spent a few hundred $ to get those. So there you have it, my sick perversion with wheels and tires. Please to not tell anyone else though !!

Wheels and tyres

Randy,

Have you tried contacting Amanda at Brooklin to get these as spare parts? If you do, please don't buy them all as I might want some! lol

Not lately. I tried several years ago with no luck. Never hurts to ask. But not going to promise I would not try to buy them all lol.

I wasn't aware of a HW Charger, but they did make a credible '71 GTX.
