Nice photos, John. I was glad Stamp left the driver's side windows down. On the preproduction prototype, they were up and obscured the beautiful dash and interior.

Hello Gentlemen,

I'm not a Cadillac expert but I thought Cadillac went to vertical headlights in '65. Beautiful model though 👍

@jkuvakas I'm confused...   John M. posted L & R pics with windows up and down.  Does he have a pre-production sample?

Actually Steve, for 1965 Cadillac tooled ALL NEW designs (w/vertical headlamps ) however, they could NOT tool their factory limo in time for the official 1965 launch. Therefore, they simply USED 1964 limo stampings with 1965 wheelcovers.  Technically, 1964 Cadillac limos were produced for TWO models years, '64 & '65.

I initially wondered about this too Chris. John posts 6 magnificent photos. Photos 3 & 4 show windows down on both sides. All others show them up. John, two different cars?

Great photographs of this impressive giant, both in 1:1 and 1:43 ! The Standard of the World in any scale.

Now that I look at the photos again, I believe the windows are up on both sides. It's a trick of the light that makes them look down.

@jkuvakas

That would make sense John since the two in question are perfectly facing the camera lens.

Yep, the windows are up, with the model directly facing the camera, the windows seem to be gone, sorry about that. It happens in quite a few photos especially when the model is a dark color.

OK, I'll buy that (it's a good trick! ) but I'm still confused.

John K. noted that Stamp's production version featured "windows down"  on the driver's side.

Q: Why does your version have "windows up"  all the way 'round?
