Here is a great old advertisement for the 1958 Ford 2-door, which I think might be a Skyliner. It is in similar colors to John's Sunliner convertible.
The car is somehow parked out on the apron of a big airport and I see actor William Shatner looking out of the window of the big Douglas DC-6. (that is an inside "Twilight Zone" joke !)
Anyway, it seems everybody (and I mean EVERYBODY) is looking longingly at the beautiful '58 Ford, and who could blame them !
@chris I will always remember your 1/18 built of this carrier. This was really impressive to follow you through the journey.
"...which I think might be a Skyliner."
It's definitely a Skyliner and if look really close, way in the back, adjacent from William Shanter, standing next to the plane ......are the Skyliners. 😏 😏
"I will always remember your 1/18 built of this carrier."
Well, thank you Nickies; I'm honored but surprised so many "1/43 guys" are even aware of much of what I've done in other scales, on other Forums. THANK YOU!
@jack-dodds Well said Jack. Chris dots the eyes and crosses the Ts by making sure the windows are closed and the wheel covers are not on the wheels.
@bob-jackman ....and lowering suspensions, to replicate that "tied-down" look. 😏 😏 I've noted many times, "I DO sweat the small stuff." It's nice of you to notice Bob; I'll ensure everyone on the top floor is aware - good fortune is headed your way! 😀 😀
The Skyliners is a great band name but I wonder if there was ever a musical group called The Trabants?
"....but I wonder if there was ever a musical group called The Trabants?"
Funny! Obviously you're joking, everyone overseas has heard of the Trabant Trio. They're very popular, especially in Germany.
@chris LOL.......hilarious......I had NOT heard of them surprisingly. ROCK ON!
