These, for me, are both amazing models. When I discovered 1:43 scale, I was thrilled at all the options that were available, far more than anything that had ever been made in 1:24. These two are part of that excellent availability.
These large land barges used to dot the American roadways, and while they haven't completely disappeared. For the most part, they are seen at car shows and such with only a very occasional one seen in the wild.

I love the hardtop coupe. 👍
John, both are beautiful models, but I especially like the 1970 with its front end and grill so reminiscent of the 1937 Cord. 1970 was the year that Lincoln abandoned the unit body after 12 model years and returned to the more conventional (for its time) body on frame construction. Here’s a much newer ‘95 Town Car that I inherited after my dad’s passing last year.

@jcarnutz +1. Beautiful car Pete...I like these barges. This past year I sold my 79 Lincoln Continental Mark V because of a lack of garage space...had I known you had this space I might have kept the car.
@bob-jackman I know what you mean about garage space. I have cars spread out in three locations. Unfortunately that empty space houses my station wagon, otherwise you were would’ve been more than welcome to it. 😉
I have the red stardust and really, really like it.
That white 4 door is a beauty too!
@chris I have the same one as in John's pics. Not sure where the name came from as it is a very dark color. But, that's what the paint charts call it. Anyway, it's just perfect for this model.
@whodeytink Got it. My mistake, I thought you were referring to Pete's 1:1 Lincoln.
If anyone is interested, I just started a "Lincoln Scale Models" group on Facebook. Sorry, it won't let me attach a link.
