I just took these today, I haven't taken any new photos of my models for several months now, today I felt that it was time. I brought out 6 new models today and I have 20 more waiting in the wings depending on how I feel over the weekend. My grandson is coming over to finish up my fall yard work, so I will have to supervise that. I feel bad about it, but he won't take any money for the work. He says my old F150 that I gave him is all the payment he needs.
Anyway, I picked this gem up this past September, I'd been watching it for months and when it wasn't selling, I decided to go for it. I don't know who modified it and It's not perfect. Some slight paint imperfections that a cleaning didn't resolve. It looks like dirt, but maybe not. More to be done later on. I replaced the bumpers, wheels and tires from an old model I picked up for $10. She looks better now. I photoshopped the imperfections or whatever out for the time being. It looks good on display.

That is a good looking car, and I like the color. I might want to get one of these for my Brooklin in Illinois series.

You like it, it's a Cadillac, and it looks pretty darn good That is all that really counts !
Glad you're back to taking photos - I'm betting it felt pretty good. And what a GREAT pick to shoot first; that Caddy is gorgeous!
Perfect or not, it looks very nice in this pale yellow, and the brightwork does lift it from the rather bare-looking original. I think it looks great.

Wait! Hold on John.... You're giving vehicles as payment for yard work & other miscellaneous choirs? Where do live, I can hop on a plane and be there in hours! 😀 😀
I'm embarrassed to admit this, but I didn't know Cadillac even made a V-16 in 1940, let alone put one a Coupe... 🙄 😯 🙄

Yeah, you don't think of Caddy and V-16 too often. From Cadillac text:
Cadillac introduced the first V16 engine in January 1930. The Cadillac V-16 was the first production car in the United States to have a V16 engine. It was Cadillac's top-of-the-line model until 1940.

I knew of Cadillac's V-16s of the 1930's but didn't realize that engine was offered up to 1940. I'm assuming ANY 1940 V-16 is super rare!
Cadillac was going after everything they could in the thirties from V8s, V12s and V16s. Marmon also had a V16 but that didn't last long.
