In early 2020, Buz at Route 66 Models issued some wonderful examples of the 1962 Oldsmobile Starfire Hardtop Coupe. In my opinion, his release was quite extensive and inclusive of some of the best colors available for an Oldsmobile that year.

His 1st set included both convertibles and hardtop coupes in these colors, which included:

Garnet Mist, Sunset Mist, Wedgewood Mist, Provincial White and Ebony Black. As important as this model is to me, being my favorite of 60s style, I needed to have one of each color.

1962 Oldsmobile Starfires 2

I added the Sunset Mist a few months after the initial release.

In 2021, Buz issued 2 additional color combinations of the model Chariot Red & White and Yellow & White (I believe) The yellow version is not part of my collection and I've not seen one other than in photos.

Here's the Chariot Red & White

Beautiful model, glad to see the red one lost the awful oversized wipers! I think they would look better to display them without them. IMO

Super pictures John. Having owned two 1/1 62 Starfire hardtops motivated me to buy all but the white convertible which I wish I had.

I must say John, when you purchase a model.... you go all in!   "Duplicates - smooplicates"  ... you have fourths, fifths, and sixths!    😳 😳

I have two of these Starfire models, a garnet mist convertible and the red and white two door hardtop. These are among my favorite models from Buz. Here is a close-up photo I have of my convertible.

@chazy-r

Is it my eyes or screen...do the tires look a bit too oversized in their wheel wells ?

Or make some replacements up with some silver wire.  I do that often on my custom models.

All these '62 Oldsmobiles look superb. The problem would be choosing just one. That dilemma has been solved here !

I have a couple of the YM diecast replicas in 1/18 and they are favorites.

Yes, choosing just one can be a problem. When the original models first came out I only bought the garnet mist convertible. If I could do this again, I would have bought at least one more. These are among the nicest models I have seen from Conquest.

I agree Bob ! The YM were exceptionally cool to get and really well done. Oldsmobiles are great to have in any scale, be it 1/18 or, as here, 1/43 and the 1962 automobiles are especially good to have in replica form.
