The Riviera name was 1st applied to a Buick in 1949. It was used for Buick's new Hardtop Coupe and continued through the 1958 models. The term was also used on the long-wheelbase versions of the Roadmaster and Super 4dr Sedans in the early 50s and then on the new 4dr Hardtops introduced in 1955 & 1956. In 1959, the name was used more selectively on just one model in Buick's lineup through 1962. The Riviera name then appeared on Buick's 1st personal luxury coupe in 1963. The Riviera continued in the Buick lineup for eight generations, the final model ended in 1999.
Overall, we have a good selection of scale models available starting with the '63 model year. Not all generations of the Riviera have been covered yet, but hopefully more will come in the future.
The 1st model I'll feature is from 1963. Goldvarg Collection Models issued it in four colors, Teal Mist, Burgundy, Rose Mist and this one Marlin Blue.
1963 Buick Riviera Hardtop Sport Coupe, a LE #088 of 240
Brooklin issued the model in 3 colors; they are all from the NB Center Collection. This one is in Arctic White, a LE, 1 of 70. (I wish the wheel covers had a bit less blackwash, maybe someday I'll be brave enough to alter it, as well as the other 2)
The 1st generation was also represented by a couple models for 1965. Brooklin issued one as the BCC Edition in 2022. It was also issued by Spark in a couple of colors years earlier. There may others that I am unaware of.
The 2nd Generation ran from 1966-1970. There are a few available from a couple manufacturers, but the only ones I have are from NEO Scale Models. NEO issued the Riviera in the 1969 and 1970 model years and in a couple of colors for each. The Goldvarg Collection announced one for 1966 a few years ago, but nothing has come of that yet, I hope it is still being planned.
1970 Buick Riviera Hardtop Coupe - American Excellence Series, a LE 1 of 500 in Sandpiper Beige.
I'll continue this thread coming up soon. Models from the 3rd Generation, the 6th Generation and one awful little model (the style) from the 7th Generation will be featured. Thanks for spending time with me and this post. Take care and stay safe.

Thanks for pictures and history. I also have white NB Center one and wish there was less black wash on the wheels.

These all look magnificent ! One of the all-time automobile designs. I have a couple of 1964 Buick Riviera cars although they are both 1/18 scale diecasts from Highway 61.
I have the Goldvarg and the Black from Brooklin.
I believe the 1963 to 1965 Riviera is one of the nicest looking American cars of the 1960’s.
