After the recent addition of my latest Brooklin model, I needed to ask myself "How many '37 Studebaker Coupes are enough? I guess that would be three, at least for now.
When Brooklin issued this model in 2016, I knew it was a must-have for me. I liked the model a lot and so when Brooklin had a sale a few years later, I added a 2nd one and changed it to black wall tires. Then in late 2021, when the NABCC visited the NB Center in Allentown, PA. I saw my very 1st '37 Studebaker in 1:1 form. It was the NB Center's beautiful example in Grapetone Maroon. It seemed that the 1:1 was a darker color than the original model, and as it turned out, it was. The 1:1 was a beautiful car, and one I was totally amazed by. I spent a bit of time with the 1:1, both inside and out admiring the craftmanship of this wonderful car.
So, when I learned that Brooklin Models was going to craft a new edition in the NB Center line of models, I knew I would be thrilled with the additional version. When it arrived, I was. The darker color makes this model an exact replica to the one in the NB Center's collection, and the added detail just makes this gem pop!

Having owned a 1937 Studebaker Dictator sedan as my first car when I was 13 years old, I am emotionally attached to this model and have the original issue along with a four door recreation built by John Roberts. I have bought some of the NBC cars even though I had the original versions. I am on the fence about this one but will probably give in eventually.
These are great looking Studebakers ! I have a 1/18 Studebaker Coupe Express and when I had two of the Yat Ming pickups, I thought about the possibility of making one into a Dictator coupe.
What is really the difference beside the head light lenses and the color? This seems the same. Is there any other added details?
WOW! I like it! Certainly to my eyes one of the best looking 1:43 scale models. If this were in 1:24 scale, I'd be all over it like syrup on my pancakes.
The '37 Studebaker is one of my favorite pre-1940 cars. Thanks for the great pics John!

@georgeschire So George, I assume you have the DM version in 1/24 scale?
@georgeschire So George, I assume you have the DM version in 1/24 scale?
You assume correctly Mr. Jackman. It is only one of three cars that I've added to my collection that is older than 1940, which has always been my self-imposed oldest cars I'm interested in. DM's '37 Studebaker Dictator Coupe is among my favorite models. Oh, in case your interested, the other two pre-1940 models I have, they are DM's '39 Ford Coupe, and the '34 Chrysler Airflow,
