Just received 1954 Cadillac CDV. My impressions are very positive. The model in acrylic boxes is very accurate and well detailed. It looks amazing.

Of course it has some little disadvantages- the years of model year instead og reguster numbers and a little thick windscreen wipers. The baseplate is rather good detailed, in msny cases better then resin models.

My verdict- GFCC toys did a great job! These models are wonderful. And the price is really reasonable. If GFCC toys expand the range, the collectors will get an opportunity to have many excellent diecast models . For people who don't trust resin it's a really good chance.

You can find many models in different editions on Aliexpress. There is a huge choice.

@fred-eliseeff Thanks for this Aliexpress info Fred.  I was able to buy two of the new upgraded issue 1956 Buick Roadmasters at a very decent price.  I had been looking for them everywhere with no luck.  Much appreciated!

I received my GFCC '54 and '55 Cadillac CDVs today and I am very impressed with the quality; great value for money IMO.

And for info on modifying  the GFCC 1959 Pontiac ride height, be sure and view the Model Related Handicrafts forum.

Just received the 1956 Buick Roadmaster- Rivera- 4dr Hardtop in luxury edition in acrylic display.

The model is very high detailed for its price. Beautiful 2 ton colors, spectacular wheels, chrome details of exterior.

If you compare luxury edition with a standard, you'l find that it worth it. Standard model has silver paint details instead of chrome, simple wheels and painted headlights.

Conclusion: GFCC in luxury edition is a strong gambler on model market. But the range of these awesome diecast models isn't huge. I'll be very glad if they expend it.

These models look excellent in one row with Collector's Classics. Both are precision diecast, a good example that it's possible to create wonderful miniatures using zamac alloy.

@jack-dodds Jack, the Cadillacs are out of sight IMO. Equal to most resins at a fraction of the price.

I agree Bob and the latest GFCC upgraded '56 Buicks are also a great value.  I ended up with five different color combos but I like the metallic blue/white version best.

I have always been tempted to buy one but what bothers me is some details are out of scale and body lines are not as crisp as the quality of a resin model.

@jack-dodds I like the metallic blue/white best but somehow pushing the wrong button and ended up with the black/yellow which I also like. I had this model in the first edition in two colors plus Conquest in white metal...I think that's enough.

Lol.....easy to push the wrong button....but the yellow/black one is my 2nd favorite of the bunch.
