This model completely checks all my boxes for my collecting genres.

It is a Goldvarg, it is a 40's, it is a woody, it is a wagon, and it has a surf board on the top of it!

Come on fellas...what else do you need?

And Sergio heard your concerns on the license plates, so he put California plates on it.

Or maybe a different convertible. (Click picture for enlargement.)

The beach scene is a diorama I may use too often.  It was one of the American Muscle / ERTL Cruisin' Series.

I want to add a Goldvarg 1948 Fleetmaster to my collection. The surf wagon is the most tempting but I find its color very close to the Pontiac Streamline. Still I don't know what to do as the blue one is also very nice...

The colors are close, but not a dead match...and the Pontiac, or the blue Fleetmaster, does not have a surf board on the top!

The Pontiac also has larger rear quarter panels and larger front fenders and hood.

And the wood panel design is very different on both models.

I pestered the heck out of Sergio to put those CA plates on, so I was obliged to get one. The surf woody and blue Olds are coming my way. Don't care about the woody being similar to my Poncho - green is always a great woody color. And I don't care that only one blue Olds in 1:1 like that exists - all of my custom cars and concept cars are "one only" also.

Coachbuilders (at coachbuilt.com/) is a fine source for finding the builders of these wooden station wagons.  Very few were built by the parent companies (GM, Chrysler, etc.).  As the car companies switched from wooden to metal bodies, circa 1950, these wooden body builders also changed.  Good stories resulted.  Check it out!
