There really is not one. There are great reference books out there, but a lot of the dealers, the small players, are left out. The white metal crowd is usually separate from the old toys, which could be separate from diecast zamak. Lots of diversity and some overlap in our hobby!
As I have previously mentioned, I am trying to gather the names and photos of model cars that are rare and historic and add them to hobbyDB as a historical record. Anyone can add to it. He was already listed: https://www.hobbydb.com/marketplaces/hobbydb/subjects/dave-sinclair-distributor
Closest to public display with a vast range of model/toy cars was the Tiatsa Model Car Museum in Stratford upon Avon:

This collection now resides in the Coventry Transport Museum where there is now 20,000 models.

Many, many thanks for the transport museum information, especially for including its small video. Great! Chris, it really looks special. David
@chris-sweetman I may have to put that trip to England back on the wish list. 👍

WOW! I've not posted on the 1:43 Forum often, but this Thread I started has gotten a lot of mileage. I'm glad it was of interest to everyone. That was the hope.

Much appreciated your posting this tribute David. My first experience with Dave S. was a very pleasant conversation and then purchasing a MiniMarque Packard from him. This broke through a price barrier for me and started me down a very expensive but fulfilling modeling road. Would post a picture if I could figure out how in this new format.
