Alex, If i remember well, I don't think that WM has made this Pontiac without continental kit. The WMCE has been done without the kit however. I have both the WM with the kit and the WMCE without the kit and they are beautiful. Only the WMCE has been made in the color that you want.

Yes, they have! Too bad that at the time it was on the

Route 66 site, I could not afford it. About a year ago, it was available in either Sage Blue or Carib Coral with white roof, and Im after the first which looks even more unusual!

the following color versions: Sage Blue/White -it's the one
I am looking for (ref.# WMCE 13) and they also made it in Caribe Coral/Kenya Ivory (ref.# WMCE 13a)!

The original Star Chiefs were two-tone Green and Coral/Gray with the continental kit. Buz reissued them without the continental kit on the name Western model collector edition (WMCE) in Sage Blue/ White and Kenya /Ivory and later another one in Yellow with the roof white is appeared.They are more detailed than the Western models.

PICS--The Car List & Reviews incorrectly left out the full name "Western Models Collectors Edition"

for WMCE13 and WMCE13a that are listed on the chart of Western Models. Many of us have seen the Star Chiefs that you are interested in and can personally vouch that they are from the "Western Models Collectors Edition."

Western Models did a white with blue side spear 1957 Bonneville convertible several years earlier. The picture below taken by Michel Lemieux and posted on Forum43 in 2010 shows the old Western Models 1957 Pontiac Bonneville and two older tutone Star Chiefs with continental kits and a then new Western Models Collectors Edition hardtop without the conti kit.
