I need to share this...
I had quite a few of models out for some new photos this past week or so, and in that process I came across my Goldvarg 1958 Fairlane. Now I have become accustomed to parts falling off (or my clumsiness breaking them off) I can usually find the piece and makes repairs, but this model was different. The lower portion of the grill insert was missing and nowhere to be found. Since I am very fond of the model, I was a bit upset. I went to eBay to see if I could find a replacement, but nope. The only ones I found was the wagon. I considered buying another one of those and swapping the grill/bumper assembly, but the thought of cannibalizing a perfectly good model disturbed me. So I took a chance and reached out to Sergio Goldvarg to see if I could get a new insert piece or even a new grill assembly.
Sergio was very kind and willing to help out. He said he would take care of it. I was thrilled to know that my Fairlane would be complete again. In today's mail I received a package from Sergio and I can honestly say I was blown away. In the box was a complete new model. And not only just a model, but according to Sergio's email, a prototype with black-wall tires. So not only do I have a replacement, I have something special and a model I will cherish.
The last several months have been really tough for me, working on the front lines during this pandemic has been brutal and some days everything good seems to be gone. We people can be so unkind when faced with stressful circumstances. My faith in my fellow man has been deeply questioned, but one simple act of understanding and kindness has restored so much.
I can't even tell you how much I appreciate his gesture, and how much it has done for me today. I've told him as best as I could, and I thought it necessary to share.
Thanks for reading my ramble.
Everyone take care and please be safe.

Thank you, John. Well said.
The world could use a lot more people like Sergio.
Excellent! Very glad that Sergio was so generous in helping you. This kind of help goes a long way in the PR department and people will remember that when purchasing a manufactures product! In this case Sergio's.
Thank you John for sharing such an uplifting story especially during these difficult times!
IMO Sergio is a business man who knows quality service, a model and car enthusiast, but most importantly a classy person who takes pride in treating others with respect. In other words he is a gentleman. How refreshing!
And thank you, John, for your courage in fighting this siege.
I feel obliged to add that Sergio did a huge favor for me in the past year and, chiming in to what has already been said, I will just say that he is truly a stellar individual. John, I retired from the medical field 9 months ago and I thank you for the work you are doing in this difficult time we are going through.

great gesture Sergio, and thank you John for all your doing on the front line
Very cool! If that ain't customer service, then I don't know what is.
fantastic!
Sadly, we get excited to read this because in 2020 this is "atypical." Decades ago, this would've..
...been expected. It's called (..or was called) CUSTOMER SERVICE.
Today, even in the FINEST of establishments demanding premium compensation, customer service (by & large) is a lost art.
Sergio, you're a good man!
Thanks, Sergio, for reminding us that there are good people too!!
This is one of many stories I have heard of Sergio going above and way beyond for his customers....
I remember reading on this forum that somebody received a Goldvarg model and a trim piece dislodged from the model during shipping.
The forum member went on a tirade about how bad Goldvard models are, and ripped into Sergios quality control on this forum.
Sergio calmly replied to the thread, apologized, and said he would send the buyer a whole new model and he could keep the model in question.
Sergio is one cool cat.
And thank you John for your frontline service.
Sergio is not only a businessman Jack, he is also an enthusiast, and the two together make an enviable combination. Well done Sergio.
