iHobby Chicago 1/43 report - pics

I just returned from a big Chicago weekend at the iHobby show and Kane County Toy show, one new and one old. Here is the "new".

Never seen Phoenix before, but they had nice modern conversion vans, a hearse, and old Ford trucks, all in 1/43. They said these would all be on their website soon.

Daron showed their NYC plastic? MTA bendy bus - nice detail for a toy, perhaps 1/50 scale.

Sun Star was there, as before, with their 1/43 Vitesse as well as 3rd party Japanese 1/43...

A big 1/50 scale distributor, b2b, was there again was well. Many beautiful trucks by Universal, Tonkin, TWH, etc. Their online store is 3000toys.

Hornby was there again with slot cars in front and a few trains.

Corgi display was in the back with no catalogs - just online in the USA.

Innovation had some 1/43 scale racing tires and decal sets - not much in 1/43 though... I was disapponted not to see Minichamps USA as well as Greenlight there again; perhaps the economy is catching up to them...

Way to go Karl! Did you pick up any new items or was it display-only?

Phoenix was selling some of theirs, as well as large scale at Sun Star, so no acquisitions this time
