Love the TR6 !!!! Hmm, I always remembered the Disco Volante as the yacht in "Thunderball". It's funny as my memory may fade as I get older LOL.

Your memory is fine. The Disco Volante was, indeed, Emilio Largo's yacht in the 007 film. For either the car or the two piece boat, it's Italian for "Flying Saucer".

Geez Tony, you ARE DA MAN !! I don't think I could ever have remembered the bad guy's name and here this morning it rolls off your tongue like butter..lol. And, BTW, that is one great looking model car too.

I'll take a pat or two on my Thomas's English Muffin... Although I'm really not aware of how many languages that muffin can speak.
I really love that TR6 Shooting Break! But I have to comment on that Disco Volante. It was issued as a homage in 2013/14 by Touring to the original. An open version appeared a few years later.
Matrix already did both, so the latest one is just a recolor.
The original Flying Saucer was from 1952 and also built by Touring for Alfa. Three spiders were built and one turned into a coupe. I have shown them here before, I think. By Bizarre and by Milestone.
Both spider and coupe are now in the Museo outside Milan, Italy.
Those are all great cars and models, and in terrific colors, too. Very nicely done !
Matrix has announced also for this period three references of the Facel Vega Excellence EX2, the most uncommon version of this rare French limousine, never released in 1/43. I have the EX and EX1 and I will complete with their new EX2, that will be available in three colors: dark green, dark red and black over silver.
Cheers
