This might have been covered before, and I lost it or forgot it but what do all these various member designations mean?
Honorable with 1 gold star
Prominent with 2 gold stars
Noble with 3 gold stars
Reputable with 5 green stars
And there may be other too.

I think it's essentially just for show and not especially significant. It's apparently tied simply to the number of posts made. So, if you post 500 times saying "D'oh !" or "No effen' way !", I guess one would have a higher "score" than someone who had 50 very helpful and meaningful posts that added to our knowledge and the hobby in general
Mike is correct, they are designations linked to the number of posts you make. Enjoy being reputable!!

They just need to spice up the designations. "Reputable" and "honorable" are ok for just regular everyday people ..... but we have evolved far beyond that, haven't we ? We are worthy of such titles as : "Esteemed Master of the Planets" or "Lord of the Galaxy" or perhaps even "He Who Must Not Be Even Spoken To By Mere Mortals Unless They Are Members of This Forum, In Which Case It's OK Because It's Interaction Between the Gods Themselves". Now that would be a title to aim for !
@mikedetorrice, LOL! I prefer "Czar of All Visible and Invisible Kingdoms".
