Mike Coupe, regarding your message below at 16233.1.2.5, the two models you mention as not having been seen are shown at the bottom of thread 16220. John Kuvakas posted them the other day, taken from Route66's website. You can see the photos there, and other photos at Route66's site.
Randall O.'s recent comment (currently at the top of Forum43) initiated some discussion on early '60s cars. Personally, I would welcome more models from the '60s, and am hoping one day to finally see an early-'60s Pontiac Grand Prix hardtop and a '65 Chevy Impala Sport Coupe. Other than the early-'70s Camaros and Firebirds, I have no interest at all in cars from that decade.

Bet there would be strong interest in 1962-65 Impala Sport coupes & HT's and 1961-64 Pontiacs also.

If John Roberts sees this post, the comment will probably be brought to Nigel Parker's attention. John's a good conduit for suggestions, but don't inundate him with them, or he'll have no time to do his great conversions.
The 1960s has got be the next main area of interest; pre '60s stuff must be getting near exhaustion point, plus as the collector generation changes, so will the era of interest.

Fear not, Mike! John is well aware of interest in the early-'60s Impalas and Pontiacs. I've suggested them to him, and therefore to Nigel at Brooklin, in the past and so have others.
I agree that the decade of the '60s should be the next big push by manufacturers; there are a good number of candidates worthy of modeling from that decade.

Last time I was talking to Nigel, he was talking '60s, although that wouldn't be at the expense of other decades, but personally I think that the 1960s has got to be moved into, and that might encourage a (relatively) younger element into the model collecting world.

One of the best looking cars in the 60's was the 61 Pontiac Ventura hardtop coupe which has never been made in 1/43 whoever decides to build should contact Pontiac historian Mr Rick Thompson,who is also a noted forum 43 member.

Chevys and Pontiacs, I agree! Plymouth and Dodge, I agree to as well...
but, other than the mention of the Lincolns, there is no mention of any Ford or Mercury's. Why is that? And early sixties Parklane would be welcome, as well as any of the mid-late sixties Galaxies. I know, there are some early Galaxies on the way and I can hardly wait for their arrival. A late sixties valiant or barracuda would be nice too. Heck, anything 1960's excites me!

Western Models Collectors Edition has a great '59 Buick. Close enough? Perhaps it can be modified into a '60?

Not to be negative to this string, but I believe Brooklin does best in the era of...
...late 1930s to early 1950s. Once chrome became king, it becomes difficult to get all the shiny details in, though Brooklin has made great strides here recently. I just think cars from the 1960's and later are better served by the likes of Neo, Matrix, GLM, Premium X, etc. And a lot is expected from them in the next few years.

Yes, Brooklin is king on 1930s to early 1950s. And they still have plenty of subject matter.
Newer shapes, complicated trim, all that came with longer, lower, and wider seem better served by different manufacturers.
