@karl My mom bought my first ones, including that Rolls, as birthday presents. I continued to get them as gifts well into my 40s. She even bought me the Sunlight Seife to get me closer to completing the collection.

I was blessed with a mother that spotted a Corgi display at a long-defunct department store in the mid-sixties and began buying me Corgis for birthdays and Christmas when I was very young - probably starting age 5. Not a huge collection from my childhood, but I still have nearly all of them and have surgically added additional models as an adult....the agricultural models were my favorite at a young age, with the Ford 5000 Super Major bearing a close resemblance to Fords at a nearby farm. I took good care of my models and spent much time with them - other than the plow, the others in this photo are all from childhood.

I'd be hard pressed to pick a favorite, but one that always makes me smile is Bombshell Betty, the LSR contender from AutoCult.

I have a lot of memories from my Matchbox and Corgi models ......... the most memorable being the Corgi ford Model T and 1927 Bentley.

Nowadays, I really like this Buick.
