1972 MGB Roadster by AC Car Kits.

David West is a collector and builder in Ontario, Canada who has an extensive MG collection.

He parted with this beautifully built one. I owned a similar full sized one in red.

I LOVE it David - Congrats! As I think you recall, I owned a new '67 MGB, in BRG and loved that car. I still miss it!

David West did a stellar job!!

I always liked the MGB styling....up until those ugly rubber bumpers appeared.

A very nice addition to your English classics collection.

@jack-dodds True! All cars had them, but the MG's were gratuitously conspicuous.

Nice model. I had a red '68. Great car!

@jack-dodds I totally agree Jack. The bumpers ruined an otherwise beautifully designed car.

@bob-jackman, yes, the bumpers were atrocious. However, they also raised the ride height by 3" to accommodate the new US standards. The combination of the two was a near disaster for those who loved the B.

Everyone denigrates the big rubber bumpers on the MGB but they saved a lot of them in the USA from body damage by the park by ear crowd.   Some aftermarket owners have painted them body color with flexible bumper paint that makes them a little less obtrusive.

Nice model. I owned two 1:1 MGB's as daily drivers for ten years, a '66 in BRG and a '73 in Teal with biscuit interior. Last year before the ugly rubber bumper guards or worse yet, those rubber front ends.

Probably looked much like the one I owned; a '67 in BRG.

67 MGB
