  It's hard to resist a job lot when I really wanted two of the six!  Turned out a third one also has a lot of promise.  But one has me stumped.  It seems to be an attempt at ...  No, just look at the pictures.  No box, no information, just 4 wheels, a steering wheel, a rudimentary interior, and the outer body shell.  I don't even know what kind of car it is!

I'm guessing circa 1954-56 Lancia Auerlia sedan.  A car with no center B pillar at all.  A club member has one in my area.

Thank you, John and Jack.  I've been looking at pictures of both, and I see a lot of similarities.  The Lancia seems rare in the 4-door style but very close, at times, in profile.  The Wolseley of the mid-50s seems just right.  I appreciate your responses.  Maybe, one of these days. . . .

Except that the Wolseley did not have a suicide rear door.   I'm still going with Lancia.  Something like this

@john-quilter   John, your picture is most convincing.  I just did a comparison shot, and I'm going to hang onto your fine source.  Many, many thanks!

@john-quilter was right!!!

Mystery solved!   John got the car, and after some googling, I got the kit maker.

Lancia Aurelia B10 Berlina, by R Modelli, Italy

R Modelli are old resin or white metal kits from Paulo Rampini.  Several are on ebay France now, all built to a fairly high standard.  Looks hard to do with this pretty crude resin model.  If you don't know Rampini, he is the most famous Italian model car collector ever.  He wrote many color-photo books on them.

@karl   Many, many thanks, Karl.  No, I am not familiar with Paulo Rampini and his kits, but your pictures and good sources have opened him up for me.  So it seems that my body, interior, steering wheel, and 4 wheels are the complete kit.  I have a hunch someone with greater skills than mine should give this one a try!   But many thanks to you and again to John.

Being an Alfa guy. I have his Alfa related model books.  Many, many color photos.  A large format Ed Force, if you will!

I would have guess Rampini. That old yellow resin he used was very brittle, and a Lancia would have been my guess. Here's a very similar Appia by Norev.
