I found this interesting.

Someone bought 2 and sold them on for a profit???
@ed-davis It does beg the question: should future NABCC models be limited to two per customer like the BCC does?
I received my NABCC 1956 Buick today. Wow! What a gorgeous model. The pictures being posted do not do this model justice. Hats off to John Kuvakus for picking the color combination. Absolutely perfect choice.
I just noticed your question. I missed it the day you sent it. I agree with your quantity limit. I did not see any other comments.

@jkuvakas Hey John, unfortunately, the drivers outside mirror was broken off. According to Brooklin mine wasn’t the only one that had this issue. They are replating more mirrors. Once this is done, the replacements will be sent. Otherwise, magnificent model!
@chazy-r, thanks for your patience. We've heard from several folks that have had this problem. Anyone else with a broken mirror should email Amanda right away at mail@brooklinmodels.com

@jkuvakas Thank you. Amanda provided the information I posted.
Mine had both left and right mirrors broken and were loose in the box. Since both were missing I decided I could live with it as many Brooklins come without any mirrors. At the risk of the mirrors appearing innacurate I wish Brooklin would make such things as the mirror posts a bit larger in diameter. Even with careful handling, these pesky little parts are easily broken off.

Thanks for letting us know that others have had these broken mirrors and to let Amanda know. Otherwise, it is a beautiful model.

My driver's side mirror was broken off also. I emailed Amanda for a replacement mirror. It might be better to just leave the mirrors off when shipping and include it with the model in a bag. Let the buyer install it if they wish.
I'm thinking this was some other problem than the model being jostled in shipping. If that was the case, the mirrors would have simply fallen out. But, from what I hear, they were broken. The way the model sits in the box would prevent the mirrors from being broken off. If the model came loose, there would be far more damage than just the mirrors. I wonder if there was some unintentional contact made in some manner as the model was placed in the packaging.

That is what I was thinking too John.
Since I have not received my model, I cannot report my experience. I asked to delay my shipment until after Jan 1, since I was out of town during the holidays. However, do we know if the mirror problem was noticed when they first arrived in US or after second leg of shipping when they reached the customers?

Just wondering, how easy or difficult do you think it would be to drill out the base of the mirror? What type of tool (for example Dremel) would you have used?
