Someone mentioned a while back the canopy express truck.  Got to thinking,  I did not have one so made one out of a Road Champs Chevy panel truck.  Lots of cutting, filing and drilling and fruit box making later,  I had this:

The beginnings.

1954 Chevrolet Canopy const #2

And the result,  with vendor and housewife customers:

1954 Chevy Canopy esp #1
1954 Chevy Canopy exp #2
1954 Chevy Canopy exp #4
1954 Chevy Canopy exp #3

Great truck for a farmers’ market! Nicely done. My guess is that a number of panel trucks have been converted like yours, John. By the way, that ‘54 Chevy panel truck by Road Champs is a nice little truck. I have a white one.

This floral truck shows up at our local farmers market. How many of these are still running around?

@john-quilter

You do great conversions. Do you make your own decals for the nameplates?

@parisi50  Curtis, Thanks for posting,  I have never seen this one and did not know it existed even though I have some Durham Classics.

@jaygolan  Sometimes, yes.  They can be printed on decal paper with an ink jet printer.

@john-quilter Yeah John, I looked for one of these for years. I don't know who many they made but it's a very small number I think.

This one is a real beauty and  something quite unusual.  I regret not buying it back in the day.
