What's so weird about this Landie? I'll have to wait for their latest PDF on it! Every other Autocult is a one-off weirdo... which is why I love them so much! 😎
@karl Hi Karl, thanks for your enquiry and yes, I am very interested in Turbine-cars, especially the American Chrysler, of which I have the 1:18-scale version and a mint 1:24-scale promo from that time. I also have some leaflets, which I bought from the daughter of one of the men who worked on the car at that time. I read Chrysler's Turbine Car written by Steve Lehto. In that book he describes how they were developed and built and how the American public was able to drive them for a short while. That's fascinating material. By that time I also found out that GM made a Turbine-truck and I thought to myself how great a model of that truck would be.....well, as with many models from my wishlist, Autocult seemed to have heard my wish.......and they made one.....this will truly get a great place in my historical collection of American cars....
But I also have all Union Pacific HO-scale GTEL's that were used in the fifties and sixties on the US railsystem in the west......they were Turbine-locomotives with massive horse-power ratings and truly fascinating engineering.
