@bob-jackman A V8 "Turbo Fire" engine was an option on the '57 210. As a Police car I would imagine it was fitted.

Yes John I'm aware that the V8 was available in the 210 series and also the 150 series. When so equipped, they would have the V emblem displayed both on the hood and deck lid which this model does not.

They probably did it this way so later can make a V8 Belair with full wheel covers and white walls and sell a second one to collectors.

I personally think the missing V is just an oversight; it may show up on the finished product.  Gotta have it on a cop car.

If they do a 210 civilian with a "V" I'm in, but I'm not much of a police car collector.

@jack-dodds This was a special order for 50 numbered models for a German dealer. I am sure the factory will release this model now they have done the alteration to a 4 door sedan.

I have asked the factory why this Police car was done as a 6cyl. version

John;  Well if there were only 50 done then perhaps it won't be an issue; especially if  released only in Europe.  An alternative may be to add the "V" if possible.

@mingmong68

John, do you know which German dealer it was and when the models were made?

Many thanks
