Nice. I just won my first Trax 1:43 on ebay. Don't have it yet. How do you rate their models?

My Ascot taxi arrived today and it is just great. Much heavier than I expected and great finish and detail. I will be looking for more of these but they are rare in the US, it seems. I did pick this one up dirt cheap on ebay but they are expensive coming from down under.

The Aussies, do of course, drive on the correct side of the road

I like the few that I've acquired

Here's their Falcon wagon and Valiant:

And a few taxis:

I have one Holden cab - a Yellow Taxi, no less. Later Trax (last 10 years or so) are better than the earliest ones.

Trax availability.

Trax are not available in any shops, unless that shop purchased them from Trax as a retail customer. Their entire business is based on mail order/internet.

I have several...

and enjoy them very much. Like several have mentioned, they're Australian, though we all know that the big three here in the USA, manufacture vehicles there as well. I especially like the early Ford Falcons. They are diecast and I think there are some that are comparable to Minichamps, though not all. It all depends what you are looking for.
As mentioned before, I especially like the early '60's Ford Falcons, of which I have the "ute" in black, the sedan in gray, the station wagon in white over turquoise and the Country Squire wagon in white. Plus I have the early sixties Chrysler Valiant in beige and in my Pick-Ups of the World collection I have several of their ute models and a couple of wagons as well. Overall, they are worth collecting!

Yes, that is true!

And Ebay usually has quite a few available as well.

Buy one model from Trax & you have a friend for life.

Their catalogs and offers just keep coming. I have the TR35 (81), TR36 (82), TR 80 (63) and the TR83B (66) Valiants and the TR38C Falcon Woody. The two early Valiants are nearly identical to the US counterparts for prior model years, the other two vary more from the US versions. The Falcon is very close to the US version. All are well made models if only they'd learn where the steering wheel belongs.

Steering wheels seem to be right to me.

Two-thirds of the world drive on the right, one-third on the left.

You are outvoted. :p

It hasn't always been like this and ....

it makes a difference to where I live whether I am outnumbered or not! 😉
